Getting to Know Dr. Dalzell

While I love being a psychologist and a woman in eating disorder recovery, I share my passion for working with eating disorders with a number of other pursuits. I love to travel, and have spent time in India, Japan, Iceland, Denmark and Portugal (to name a few). I am often accompanied on these trips by my amazing writer husband or my daughter, who is a queer-identified young adult. I love to replicate the foods I try in my travels and have had recipes published in Bon Appetit and was a runner up in the Mama Mary Pizza contest, snagging a pro cappuccino maker.

I enjoy spending time with my queer-allied family and my two cats: his highness Astor and prima donna Chloe.. They have some competition in the form of another 114 cats I spoil in my role as a volunteer at Tabby’s Place, a no kill shelter. Other favorite past times include reading, and learning about all things spiritual. Whether it’s discovering new crystals, practicing meditation or even goat yoga, I’m up for trying new paths to self-discovery.
