The goal of our Pop-Up LGBTA Community History Exhibit is multi-faceted: Share what we have already gathered, engage the community and its visitors, open a conversation to gain interest in folks sharing their stories and personal images from the past and present, educating and welcoming visitors to New Hope, Bucks County PA. Featuring photos, memorabilia, interactive space and Retro-Scope.org a web based digital history archive.
High Heel Drag Race on Mechanic Street

New Hope Celebrates is proud to present this years Annual High Heel Drag Race & After Burn Party at The Logan Inn. The High Heel Race is an all-inclusive event, which represents our communities’ diverse and accepting culture. Everyone in the race, male and female participants alike will wear high heels as they each carry atwo dimensional birdcage up the hill where they will decorate it and return down Mechanic Street in New Hope, PA.
Be a participant or a cheerleader in the crowd – it’s always a great time. Our annual T-shirt and other collectable race memorabilia will be available forpurchase at the event with Items ranging from $2 – $20 dollars, There will also be a lively DJ, 50/50 raffle and prizes for the race contestants. Allproceeds benefit New Hope Celebrates (NHC), a local non-profit organization focused on highlighting the history and cultural nuances of New Hope, PA through the creation and promotion of marketing opportunities, educational activities, and cultural events.
This year the NHC team has really stepped up to continue one of New Hope’s most popular and fun filled fall events which heralds in the Halloween celebration. Thanks to the efforts of Elisa Fusco, Chrissy Mertz, Gordon Pulaski and Armando Martinez along with the NHC board for their trust and support.
